SOLD / Paisley Pin This I found to be a really different and a nice design broach/ pin. I would put it in a size medium to large category. I could not resist buying it. It's not vintage, but I have no idea when it was made. And yes, paisley did exist. It's older than our country. Although rather or not, if it was popular, I don't know. It's made of resin to give that carve look, along with the to color tone. It would look great with a paisley skirt and a solid color bodice. The color of the center piece is between cornelian (more towards a lighter orange, than what my scan shows) and peach, with a off white color bust. The back ground starts from the bottom and fades to the point, (top) area in a almost translucent off white color. The metal is done in in an antique blacken gold/ brass color and is made to look like pot metal. Now the scan shows the bottom dark, where as its the same as the top. The only flaws I found were in the manufacturers. The bottom right curve has 2 points that didn't mole in correctly. The back pin part, I feel should of been put on with more of a slant. It shows in the scan, as I like to see it pinned on, (at a slant). Measurements: The pin/ broach measures 2-1/8" high by a little over 1-1/2 " wide. |
